Sleep stages are divided into two main categories: non-REM sleep and REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, where dreams typically occur. Over the course of the night a sleeper will cycle through the five stages of sleep a number of times with the REM stages lasting longer and longer towards morning.

I had a dream before I woke up regarding what happens after death. It was as if someone was teaching me the process. As you left the physical plane, there were these rings.. each ring being larger than the next the further out you go. Most people only make it to the first couple of rings... a few make it to the 12th ring, but rarely does anyone venture pass the 12th ring to the 13th ring, because you can't see it. So all the ring can be seen except when you pass the 12th ring, you can't see the 13...but if you keep going you will eventually find it. Plus there are rings beyond the 13th ring. The closer the rings are to the physical, the more likely you will get sucked back in.
Interesting.. just wanted to share.
Wholeness All!
For the past 12 years, I have been experiencing the same dream. In these dream I began to rapidly float and when this happens my stomach begins to flip. I am beyond scared because I can’t stop myself from floating so I start to grab at anything that is around me. If I am outside near trees then I try to hold onto the branches and leaves. Once I was in a ballroom, I grabbed onto a chandelier but I no matter what I grab onto I am still sucked or pulled up when this happens I wake up out of fear because it feels so real. Does anyone have an idea of what this means? I would appreciate as many perspectives as possible. How do I let go of the fear so I can see what happens next? When I awake I am still floating, I never see where I land or if I land.
Several recent semi-lucid & lucid dreams: Meeting with Taoists in a sauna, they were in business suits talking about changing the world, activation, food based on the zodiac and other "superhuman" things, I was in my usual clothing, from every day, and someone told me "hey" "jump into the swimming pool, it's so warm and fresh"... I did, and some kind of enlightenment came upon me.
This morning, I was talking (in my dream) to a phd scholar and he said "it's just like a train of inspiration! Get on and don't get off" great music playing in the background... Then I was flying, which is to say "in the clouds", redesigning the world and the way business was being done, we were stopping wars! :)
I do believe it's a "train of inspiration", Sevan recently talked about how golfers hit "alpha state" just before hitting the ball, their awareness is heightened, imagine walking around like that as often as you want!
Anybody who have any advice on how to learn to control when you wanna have a astral/lucid dreaming journey? Had a few myself, but they happen outa the blue. I know being really really tired helps for some reason :)

: Huperzia is a type of moss that grows only in China. Huperzia moss tea has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine to treat fever, blood loss and irregular menstruation. Traditionally, the whole moss was used in herbal formulas, but modern preparations use only huperzine-A, an alkaloid found in huperzia that prevents the breakdown of acetylcholine.
Since loss of acetylcholine function is a characteristic of several disorders of brain function, huperzine-A is believed to be effective in stopping the spread of Alzheimer's disease. Huperzine-A may also protect brain tissue, further increasing its potential for helping reduce symptoms of some brain disorders. There is also evidence that suggests huperzine is effective in increasing memory.
I'm not familiar with Huperzine, but considering your experience occurred after taking 2 pills, as opposed to 1 pill, one can surmise it might be related to the Huperzine.
When taking any type of medication, prescription or otherwise, it is good to know its effects on your body, as well as any possible drug interactions or side effects you might experience.
Here is a link to one website I used to acquaint myself with Huperzine:
http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-764-HUPERZ...
If there is anyone else here who takes Huperzine or has tried it, they might be of further assistance in sharing their experiences with it.
does anyone know or can tell me what happen I have been taking huperzine a for dreams and last night instead of taking 1 I took 2 and in sleep I seen myself trying to turn on the light plain as day in my bed but looking at myself walking around that is not a o.b.e is it because I was just look at what I was doing like how can this be two me's but I was chill and I just started dreaming normal ?
mercury slowed down and the dreaming is a flowing
anyone else have madonna randomly appear in their dreams? i spoke to a friend of mine who says he's had at least 3 vivid dreams of a warm likable madonna in his dreams, without his even being a fan of her or liking here. she was in mine the other day and was so convincingly pleasant. it wasn't til after i reflected on it that it occurred to me she may be vamping off millions of people in the 'dream' world.
