A whisper of breath touched her face
Hinting of secrets and the miracle of wind
Stirring wayward feathers to point at
Lost directions for her way home
Waving curtains cower away from her
Calculated damage mirroring reflections
From the window of her shattered soul
Englassed heart incubating downtrodden
Defenseless exposure of blanched bones
Carved by benumbed restraints cold control
Suffer her breathe a whisper supplicating respite
From perpetually incessant death throes
And she said
Without a lie
And she asked
"Why do you keep me alive?"
