Bason (馬孫, Mǎsūn)

Chinese Name: Tao Ren
English Name: Peach Seed

Clinical Usage and Indications

  • Breaks up blood stasis (important herb) - menstrual disorders, abdominal pain/masses, trauma, flank pain, lung abscess, intestinal abscess.
  • Moistens intestines, unblock bowels - constipation due to dry intestines.

tao ren presents a more do what tho wilt attitude and a self justified judgment on mankind. I like how he brought attention to the mechanics of the moon and stars but wonder about his arrogance of needing to be the only one.

morty, the mortal shows an awakening mind as he learns more, i think he's really swept up with the mystical implications of shamanism. we'll see if the slaving of spirits works versus establishing friendship with spirits in  truth in this and other dimensions. do we have to bind them to be our kindred? or is unity formed when we acknowledge each others current comprehension of the greater mission?

Tao makes his debut with the statement 'the moon fades then hides itself. After that comes a moment of darkness. There is nothing more wonderful than darkness.' The dark shaman. He is arbitrarily destructive as though he revels in chaos. He does not like machines for their exhaust hides the stars. He takes it upon himself to violently rid/cleanse the world of those he deems parasites. He is tied to the stars and the moon, especially when the moon is new and hiding itself. Morty mentions the other shaman, tao, has the same aura as yoh. So do shaman's all have similar auras? And is Morty developing skills or are most children equipped to see auras. My daughter can see them and other things but I did not know until she was about 5. It is not usual in our society to ask children questions such as this and naturally most children will assume everyone sees what they do. Also many adults undermine and disbelieve many of these gifts and children subsequently choose not to develop further.

Yoh describes interacting with the elements in this case portraying an ability to 'run' from the heat. In some cases a changed interaction with the elementals occurs naturally when one activates.

Yoh mentions his relationship with his guardian as a friendship. Tao mocks this and explains his belief that the guardians are tools. Wonder if this will take him out of the running to become shaman king, one who connects with the spirit of all things.
