Just now got caught up. Good to watch along with everyone's input. Not much to add yet myself, definitely following though.  Oneness with mind, body, spirit, and nature. Looking forward to being just that as this goes on

Yoh's guardian considers the union a friendship mirroring Yoh's view and feels remorse for 'underestimating his enemy,' a beginner's mistake in this first battle instigated by Tao. Yoh ends up injured in the hospital. Rio and the hoodlum crew, caught up in the shaman mystique, end up assisting Yoh in this battle between he and Tao, who has learned to use 100% of his spirit's/tool's power.

Yoh reminisces about his grandfather mentor who watches him like a hawk. Amongst other aspects he teaches Yoh that concentration is key and instills 'knowledge is power.' Yoh is also reminded that every 500 years energies align for the tournament of the shaman king, regarding which Yoh struggles to find any relevancy until the present. This tournament in part is an opportunity to balance the technology which has greatly overrun nature. It takes responsibility and discipline. Nature, time, and ancestors come together for the shaman king. Grandfather also portrays the skull indents and relation to star. When I noticed similar indents running parallel between crown and brow I perceived an increased ability to absorb incoming cosmic flow and am still learning other uses. Also glad mostly hidden under hair line :)

Tao Ren's vitriolic tribe instills ruthlessness for the cause with threats of replacement to the point of calling on eradication of opponents prior to the tournament. Tao is made to feel a failure for leaving Yoh alive and is told to finish the job. He waits for Yoh outside the hospital and another battle begins.

Yoh is able to stay positive under adversity. Tao continues taunting Yoh's relationship to his spirit as friendship. 'Dominate spirit and crush independence. Your left hand does not know what your right hand is doing' etc. Yoh feels he is going to lose and attempts to set his guardian free so that he is not captured and used by Tao but the guardian insists on fighting til the end. Yoh learns to focus as one with his spirit. Together.  Power increases with focused unity. 'Stay strong we are one' and Yoh learns to use 100% of his spirit's power successfully defending himself against Tao in the process. My prediction is that the 'tool' mentality can only go so far. Portrayed to be powerful but stagnant.

Lately been communing with the noble elemental spirits they are strong! :)

i downloaded this based on your recommendation. i have still yet to start the series but this reminds me to get started with it.
