Maternal grandfather, had about a two by five piece of earth outside his front door, he would shovel up the horse manure from the inner city police horses, that would stop or ride by. He often said those horses were probably fed better than some of the folk on the block, He called it his Victory garden;

I learned, nature, seed, harvest, and a bit about time  from observing both my grandfathers care of their gardens their land.. I know the natural garden artist within. even when i may only have, a simple window box garden.
