"Let me say at the risk of seeming ridiculous, that the true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love. "

 That was said by Che Guevara, who fought heart and soul for the liberation of Cuba, The D.R.C(Democratic Republic of Congo) and Bolivia, none of which were his homeland. He did not want to be deified, he took a small house for his family after he helped win the Cuban Revolution, and he died in Bolivia fighting on the front-lines as a guerilla warrior.

Now I am not trying to advocate armed rebellion, but I find his values of selflessness, and humility to impart upon me a boundless sense of motivation. In a position where he could have taken for himself, he kept giving. When he could have become a bureacrat, he stayed on the ground with the revolutionaries.He fought against the celebrity image which the media tried to impart upon him, because he wanted people to see that he was not a "Hero of Myth" , unnattainable by regular people. He wanted to show people that anyone can be the change, the difference, the revolution, if they only see it in themselves.

Now, as I near my 21st birthday, I am starting a blog titled: "The Informed Activist: A blog for Peace, Through Education and Positive Action". My goal is to create a network to inform the populace of the events, agendas, connections, and atrocities not covered by the mainstream media(which indoctrinates 90% of news-viewers). Simultaneously, I will expound upon alternative systems of healing, thought, nutrition and community, so that people can use their insight to break free of the fetters that are placed upon us by this modern society.

I stumbled upon this community the day I decided that I needed a balance for all of the negative news and information I was intaking. The introduction page had a statement about finding this page at the "right time" and I could not help but laugh at the auspicious coincidence the universe had offered me.

I hope to learn, grow and find balance and energy along with all of the members here.
