In alchemical terms; I designed and made a sphere of two halves, symbolising the moon because of two notions. Notion one; two small spirit cups for lovers. Notion two; the alchemists believed on the 2D model of the tree of life that Yesod, the second from bottom sphere on my design, equals the moon, equals silver (because both can reflect light); and because the shape is spherical like the moon, and two in one equals three, numerically speaking about interconnected relationships. So this is also potentially a focaliser for a primitive laser beam when the insides are high-mirror polished and the sun is actually out!
The question then becomes; if we apply this logic to each of the spheres as making them out of different metals, will the different interplay between sunlight reflected focalised through different metals achieve a different result in the intensity of its beam?
