Hi Roberta,
I came across your post about your surgery and the feelings that returned to you afterwards, and your yearning to embrace them more. i feel much empathy for you in this - i had a similar experience myself last winter solstice, and have longed, and feel so deep, that i must find my way back to those planes. i also found lovely your explanation of how you are drawn to certain vibrations and frequencies.
it is fascinating that you felt a strong need to come to Australia?! and made this little aussie smile :) i thought i should contact you incase you are still sensing the desire to listen to australian music too. i am very new to this community and consciously trying to activate, but i feel music has always been my sacred connection to things i can never express. Have you heard of the John Butler Trio? John Butler is quite well known here, he is a beautiful and very talented and soulful musician and along with creating music does a lot to help our local environments, act as a voice for our indigenous communities and empower young people. Just a great man really. He has just released a new album but it is some of his earlier music which i find especially nourishing. Mixing amaaaazing guitarwork, african drums, lovely vocals, arabic riffs etc. (it just struck me so much i should let you know about him!) Songs like Take, What You Want, Sista, Earthbound Child, Treat Yo Mama, Betterman, Zebra... gosh there's lots really :). Especially Take and What You Want though. I hope this is perhaps helpful- if you would like me to send any of them (not sure how but sure i can figure it out!) just let me know. These songs are not meditative as such but very good to feel... gah i can never describe things properly... connected to nature, the spirit, love i suppose. But deeper than that. i find him very soothing too because he is so soulful, it helps when feeling isolated on the journey.
Thank you for sharing your own journey. I hope we both find our way :)
Much love
Jane
