I wanted to start a discussion on first hand uses you've made of energy centers in the physical or non physical realm. These are the experiences I've had so far. Whatever you've used them for, please let us know, so we know where to concentrate to achieve what effect.

 

1, Third Eye Fire - This expands awareness into other states, and allows access to other things. Portals to other life forms, hypnotic imagery, visions, building creative things within hypnotic imagery etc.

2, Heart Fire - This calms everything, except repressed (Life Enhancing) emotion, including burning away the ego. It also seems to be able to assist with a wide range of states/experiences by bringing balance.

3, Solar Plexus/Naval Fire - Chi? This is the first time I have felt a literally spill within from that area, not a steady stream, but as I was meditating on the third eye, I felt a welling up of intensity from that area. -

Putting myself in the heart silenced both 1 and 3's effects quite quickly, taking my expanded state down, and also settling the chi quickly.

 

Would 3 be considered inner Chi? I have just started taking Tibetan chulen so that may have fostered some of the energy to return, working with Kundalini and Taoism as well. It was also the first meditation I have literally felt 3 physical energy centers going off at once, I was unsure at that point whether to make use of all or balance them, so I defaulted to using the heart flame which settles everything down. The fire in the heart is quite noticable these days, with a charged feeling on top of it.

 

Others I've experimented with.

4, Sexual Energy / Taoism Cold Fire (Male), female is apparently more warm energy - Used to re-juvinate the brain/organs/body.

 

I was unsure where to post this, as it crosses a few categories, but its experimental so far for me, so I went for here.

I am going to take closer note of what is happening in my body when I meditate. 

I Immediately feel the energy go down, my belly get warm, my feet get hot and tingly and my heart opening.  Sometimes my heart hurts but i just breathe through it.  It feels so soothing I get lost in it. 

Today I just met a kundalini yoga instructor, totally by surprise so I am going to pursue it.  I hope this will better help me relate to my precious body.
