This idea was based off what sevan had said in one of the podcasts about going up and down the kundalini.

The basic concept is to adjust the water temperature when you are having a shower. I usually keep it a moderate temperature while i put soap on my body and hair. After I'm done with that formality, I like to raise the water temperature as high as my body can tolerate without getting burnt. While doing this I breath deeply and try to stay calm. A lot of thoughts go through my mind and I try to acknowledge them and accept them with mindfulness. The heat portion usually has to do with stress and frustration for me or maybe overcoming fear. After that is done for a few minutes or so depending on the comfort level I gradually reduce the water temperature back to moderate, which sort of feel cold in comparison to the high temperature. As I lower the water temperature, more frustrations and fears pass through my mind so I try to accept them with mindfulness. With the colder temperature of the water I find it's more important to have a softer and calmer focus, because the body will start to reject it vehemently.

Take care

Very nice, I will try that from now on. Wholeness

Interesting. I have been wondering about the concept of meditating in salt water as it is a excellent conductor of energy. i think it may amplify the experience. Notice in the movie Constantine he was meditating in water to perceive other realms. also Legend of the Tsunami Warrior.

During the recent super storm sandy i had the idea to do my normal ritual except this time my intention was to cultivate energy from the storm. Normally i work mostly from the root up however i started visualizing me pulling in energy from the vortex. I could see it in flashes coming from above and entering my upper vortex or crown chakra.

It was a very profound experience as my energy body was so amped up. i felt my root chakra light up with heat almost felt like fire burning eventually the energy moved up my stomach. The whole thing was so blissful, probably the deepest i have been able to go in yet. The energy lasted into the next day"s ritual.

Anyway just wondering if anyone else has similar experiences or ideas of cultivating energy. Peace
