Hey, everyone.

So I've had a lot of sleep paralysis in my life, which I realized is the transition to theta state while still awake. I realize this is a glorious state to be in, and I've felt stronger connections than I usually do in meditation, and have had some very interesting spiritual experiences.
I realize my next step is to learn to enter this state while meditating and awake.

The times that I typically have entered the theta state were after waking up early in the morning, and staying up for a while. This is because brain chemicals are restored when asleep, so if I wake up often I can catch my mind enter theta just before fully asleep.
I'm sure I could trigger this via meditation, but would like to know if anyone has any tips or if they have done it before.
I've tried searching the internet, but most of what I come across is about using binaural beats and such to entrain the mind to enter theta.  I feel that this isn't the right way for me particularly to go about it, and I feel that I could on my own having experienced it many times and knowing what the switch feels like.

Does anyone have any experience or tips for entering theta state while fully awake?
If not I guess providing a link to a good theta binaural beat for entering the theta state would be the next best think.

I can also hear the vibration from my third eye when I wish, so I feel that it may be a good idea to try to make this vibration match that of the theta state, but I don't quite know exactly how fast the theta vibration is. If anyone has any input that'd be great. Thanks.

Thanks a lot, everyone.

I can get my body into sleep paralysis just lying down and relaxing my body.

I use simple relaxation methods (formulate your own regimen, there's a lot of info on the net), once I get my body relaxed, I focus on my heart area and I just focus on my breathing.  What you may notice is you'll start to feel your heart vibrating, and the energy will start to  "pump."  (that's what happens to me anyway...).

Then, what generally happens is that my body gets paralyzed and my mind is awake.

Then when my body is completely paralyzed, I breathe and open my mouth, and it seems as though I "exit" into a dream, or it seems as though I get out of body... (not really sure...all I can say though is that I see myself leaving the body and I it seems as though I'm exiting.  it could be a dream within a dream, but all I know is that I have much control and my recall upon waking up is much clearer - as I can recall what happen once I awaken).

You can also try this:  Its a timer with beats.

do what you normally do and get up early in the morning and stay up a bit.  then go back to sleep and play this timer - get a decent set of ear buds and just go to sleep - you don't have to try, let the timer and the beeps do the work for you.

you'll find you'll enter a sleep paralysis.  once you are in sleep paralysis you can try go ahead and try an exit method.

Hope this helps.

you can check out "lucidology" material:

High Ryan,

Read your post and there are some websites that post information on  brain wave frequencies.  Below is an exerpt I saved some time ago that gives the frequency range of Theta brain wave activity.

Theta Brain Waves ( 4 to 8 Hz) BETWEEN WAKING AND SLEEPING STATE
4.5 Hz - Brings about Shamanic/Tibetan state of consciousness, Tibetan chants.
4.9 Hz - Induce relaxation and deeper sleep
4.9 Hz - Introspection. Relaxation, meditation
5 Hz - Reduces sleep required. Theta replaces need for extensive dreaming
5.35 Hz - Allows relaxing breathing, free and efficient
5.5 Hz - Inner guidance, intuition
6.5 Hz - Centre of Theta frequency. Activates creative frontal lobe
7.5 Hz - Activates creative thought for art, invention, music. Problem solving
7.5 Hz - Ease of overcoming troublesome issues
7.83 Hz - Schumann earth resonance. Grounding, meditative, Leaves you revitalized
3 - 8 Hz - Deep relaxation, meditation. Lucid dreaming
3 - 8 Hz - Increased memory, focus, creativity
4 - 7 Hz - Profound inner peace, emotional healing. Lowers mental fatigue
4 - 7 Hz - Deep meditation, near-sleep brainwaves.

There's more information out there.  Try googling "brain wave frequencies" and see what you get.

Hope this helps.

I have been on a heavy metal detox for the last week, and for the first time that I can remember, I experienced sleep paralysis due to a loud song starting to play with the lights on while I was dreaming.  I started to get up to turn off the music, but someone was standing in front of me in my dream, a doctor with a scalpel or a needle, about to use it on me.  I realized I was dreaming and tried to get out of the chair and shove him away, but I couldn't move.  I tried with all of my might until my heart was pounding and I suddenly jerked out of the chair, fully awake.

The detox consists of Chlorophyl and Cilantro.  All of the water I drink now has chlorophyl in it and is spring water.  I am also taking L-Glutathione, the mother of all antioxidants.  You would not believe the energy this gives you until you try it for yourself.   Also, I have been experiencing random numbness in my palms, and waves of energy pulsating through my body, pressure at the base of the skull, and feelings of peace and love.

I don't understand why I feel the pressure of the pineal gland activating, but I don't get any visons.  Is it just because it is too calcified to make enough DMT on its own?

You could try doing a theta version of the alpha wave breath (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daMBb26LIgQ). I'm not sure where this originated but i first heard of the G breath from Core Love - G stands for gamma. The G breath brings one to gamma brainwaves and stimulates DMT production. The info on that is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-QUSoDpBU8

So a theta version could be to cycle through the steps of the Alpha wave breath but breathing in and out specifically through the nose...maybe this cycle could be a support when meditating.
