Not sure if this should go under Ailments and cures, spiritual technology or Q&A but it is a question so will post here for now.

I have been receiving Reiki treatments to help with anxiety & depression and thought it would help coinciding with step 4 of the internal cleanse. (lymph)   I had also been experiencing sensation/energy movement going on with my liver/gallbladder area and my back just under and around my right shoulder blade beside my spine.

Since the Reiki treatments began there has definitely been some release and other forms of benefit, but a different sensation has been present almost constantly in the above mentioned region. The practitioner says it's what they call an active point. She has tried to calm it down/deactivate it but it still remains and pulls my mind often due to the discomfort. It's not horribly debilitating by any means but distracting. I'm confident in her ability as a Reiki master with over 10 yrs experience, so I don't feel it is something to be alarmed over, rather something to learn from. She recommended I ask that particular point/area in my body what it's trying to tell me. Some obvious things have come to mind in regards to the nature of anger/judgement, or other negative emotions/experiences being held in this organ/region, but it still remains (as do the emotions evidently). It is located on what she calls the triple warming point and gall bladder meridian in connection with the only horizontal meridian/band of energy that wraps around the torso within proximity of the diaphragm region. Not exactly sure what that means, but perhaps someone can provide clarity?

The 'art of letting go' can seem easy from a distance, but when your in the midst of trying to embrace the feeling, it can sometimes feel like a bit of a cat and mouse scenario. Toggling between avoidance and attachment to the familiarity of the suffering at hand is a leak i'm trying to patch up as it's very draining. While I recognize the necessity of a more balanced/gentle approach, I am still sending the request out there wondering if anyone who is experienced in the healing arts can offer some insight.

Thanks in advance.

I feel you. I have gone through similar experiences. It's a slightly different system than reiki but I like to refer back to the chakras, and that right shoulder pain may correspond to your throat chakra which has a role to play with anxiety and depression. This is linked to your gall bladder/stomach issues; as in your 3rd and 2nd chakra.

when i feel that kind of pain, i go through the exercises and challenges of life. I try to take opportunities that will challenge my anxiety and depression. take the issues that you have and make an intention with some logic of what do you really want to do. just try to balance yourself out, if you feel weak, flip your mind, and walk and talk with power, it is yours for the taking.

exercise, and work on the things you struggle with everyday. just like when i first started working out. i could only do 3 pull ups, now i can do 10 (yippy).
