Here are just a few highlights i pieced together for you.
Cacao and Theobromine. First off, I'm almost certain there is a video of Sevan's that features his arsenal of food, which includes raw cacao...
Despite its name, the compound contains no bromine—theobromine is derived from Theobroma, the name of the genus of the cacao tree, (which itself is made up of the Greek roots theo ("God") and broma ("food"), meaning "food of the gods")[3] with the suffix -ine given to alkaloids and other basic nitrogen-containing compounds.[4
Food of the Gods, huh?...The mayans sure found excellence in cacao.
Theobromine can be found in tea, yerba mate, acai berry...just to name a few - should we stop consuming these too?
Alkaloids are just as any other 'drug' and shouldn't be consumed in mass quantities.
Even without dietary intake, theobromine may occur in the body as it is a product of the human metabolism of caffeine. So, caffeine is 'bad' too?
Both coffee and cacao beans are of the earth and contain healing elements, which like anything, if taken in extreme quantities, can be harmful. Breath too much oxygen and you might pass out.
Theobromine has uses as cancer prevention, as well as therapeutic uses as a vasodiliator and heart stimulant.
All this and it's long touted history as an aphordisiac.
All plant and seed on the planet has a use. I highly doubt cacao has escaped the laws of nature.
